Forrest Gump is an iconic movie for many reasons, but one of the most memorable scenes is when Tom Hanks is sitting on a bench in a park, telling his life story to anyone who will listen. That park, located in Savannah, GA, is a must-see destination for movie buffs and travelers alike. My visit to Savannah was the starting point for a serious road trip around the US, with the final destination being New York City. Along the way, I’ll be stopping at some of the most beautiful natural sites in the country, and sharing my journey on my YouTube and Instagram accounts.

The Park from Forrest Gump

Chippewa Square is the location of the famous bench scene in Forrest Gump, and it’s a beautiful park in its own right. Surrounded by historic buildings and shaded by large oak trees, the square is a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. The bench from the movie is no longer in the park, but there’s a sign marking the spot where it used to be. Whether you’re a fan of the movie or not, Chippewa Square is a great place to relax and take in the beauty of Savannah.

Natural Beauty Across the US

While Savannah was the starting point for my road trip (well not really, Florida was first but I didn’t think about it as a road trip), it’s just the first stop on a journey that will take me across the country. I’ll be stopping at some of the most beautiful natural sites in the US, including national parks, forests, and beaches. From the Grand Canyon to the Sequoias, I’ll be capturing the stunning scenery on my camera and sharing it with my followers on YouTube and Instagram. I’m excited to explore the natural side of America and showcase the incredible beauty that can be found in every corner of the country.

Sharing My Journey

As I travel across the US, I’ll be sharing my experiences and tips on my social media accounts. My YouTube channel features vlogs from the journey, giving viewers a glimpse into some of the most beautiful sites in the country. I’ll also be using my Instagram account to share photos and summaries of each place I visit, along with recommendations for other travelers. Whether you’re planning your own road trip or just looking for some travel inspiration, I hope my journey will inspire you to explore the natural beauty of the US.
